UFSC Omaha is one of 22 affiliate chapters in the Urban Financial Services Coalition.
The UFSC is a national organization established in 1974 as the National Association of Urban Bankers. When minority bankers from different parts of the country began to discover the value of information-sharing among associates from city to city, they organized local chapters into a national network under the umbrella of NAUB. In May 2000 the organization expanded to encompass the entire financial services industry and changed its name to reflect its industry-wide focus.
“To be the preeminent resource organization in the financial services industry that provides professional development programs, supports educational advancement and promotes economic empowerment for its members and minority communities at large.”
